Best plants for your betta
When talking about aquarium plants, one question
pops up in everyone's mind: how long do Indian almond leaves last
or any other aquarium plant? Their lifespan varies and is affected by so many
factors. But this is not why we are here for.
We are here to talk about some of the best plants
you can give your betta. Each plant on this list is good in its way. And if you
are considering some other plants instead of Indian almond leaves, we suggest
you pay close attention to these plants.
1.
Java Fern
Java Fern somehow looks like Aloe Vera gel, whereas
it's not. This plant is the most liked plant for the aquarium pet because it is
readily available, beautiful, consumes less space, and has many benefits for
the water and the pet.
They have long, thick leaves which require less
attention and have a low maintenance care level. They grow slowly, it might
take them weeks or months to reach their ideal height and age, but they get the
job done.
They even have reproducing traits in them. You can
cut their stem or rhizome into two pieces, and after some time, they will start
to grow that same stem in that same place sooner or later.
2.
Anubias
Anubias has so many different types, which include
various sizes, shapes, and textures on them. But one thing common in their
different types is that they have the same benefits for your betta and the
water it is living in.
3.
Marimo Moss Ball
They are fuzzy little green orbs with velvet
coating, a type of algae. They look like tennis balls rather than a plant or
leaves. They are easy to maintain and contain no extra charges when taking care
of them.
Their unusual and unique shape made them to even
live in ponds, rivers, and even some areas starting with an ocean. They need to
live bottom of the water. The denser the water is, the more benefits your betta
and water can get.
4.
Cryptocoryne
These plants are also called crypts. They can easily
live in how or low light conditions and don't require any special care, besides
the water has to be clean and not fast moving.
These plants come in wide varieties, such as bronze,
red, green, and tropical. You don't need to worry about them because they will
consume the nutrient from the water or the food you will drop for your betta.
5.
Water sprite
This one is a great plant. It is fair to say that
everyone can judge it by its name. They keep and maintain the water temperature
for a betta. If the water temperature is higher than usual, they will cool it
down a bit, and the same goes for cooler water.
It is because they need some suitable temperature as
betta does. Betta can't change the temperature of the water, but this plant
can.
6.
Betta bulb
You need a betta bulb if you are thinking about how
many Indian almond leaves per gallon.
They are especially and only for bettas because they just low to interact with
them and swim around them.
